Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her leading roles in the action spy film Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her childhood was located in Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. She was raised by her mother who loved to watch films. Paula was involved in a variety of co-curricular events at school, but she had particular passion for dramatics. She loved to play act with her classmates and took part in school's stage shows. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actress decided acting was her preferred career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern Calif's summer program, and enjoyed tremendously. The program was the PBS 3-month assignment to make documentaries. The first assignment was to be production assistant for television documentaries after successfully completing her project. After completing her assignment, she started producing documentary films. But she still had a desire to become an actress, even though she was satisfied with her current position. She started her career in acting by playing Will Smith's co-star on love story Hitch. In the years since, she's played in numerous popular films as well as TV shows.
